little retrograde poem

mercury retrograde…

you wrangled me in one swoop of your scorpion lasso

tossing me into a pool of my own saliva

process this! you decree, belly laughing

forcing me into animal instincts, the gut takes command

shut down the control center of the left brain mind and deep sea dive into

… depends

how far are you willing to go?

i am willing to touch the bottom and deeper if i can

i’ve been diving for years….

but only off the coast of this one place.  where greek gods jump from cliffs.

i’d like to dive some place new…

the water between me and you?

bliss nibbles on soggy bits, walking bare through blue rain

i can’t complain, mercury

my fear is still born under your waning moon

the processing of pain is finished.
